I saw this recipe on this blog and I had to try it. ;) It's very rich! Which means it was perfect! I thought it actually tasted better after it sat in the fridge over night rather than hot out of the oven.

Cooking Party

Prior to the party, I made chef hats for all the kids. I had enough fabric left over and made a matching table runner.

I got simple aprons at Hobby Lobby. I had planned to put ruffles on them to match the chef hats, but life happend and I never got to it. (I don't think any of the little girls noticed ;)

 I got little personal size pizza pans at National Restaurant Supply. Each of the girls made their own dough.

I had all the sauce, cheese, and toppings in bowls on the table for each child to make their own.

Wii dancing while the pizzas are in the oven!

I made 6" cakes for each guest to decorate their own.

Masterpieces!

The fun these girls had was priceless!

14th Birthday Party

My older girls are definitely beyond the character themes, but still always have and idea (usually a color scheme) of what they want for their party.



1st Birthday and Homemade Cupcake Stand

For my daughter's first birthday I really wanted to have cupcakes. We were going to have a large group of people and I couldn't find a cupcake stand large enough and didn't really care for the ones I saw. I made my own by cutting circles from foam board (some from cardboard) and cover them with wrapping paper.

I used empty pumpkin cans by covering them with craft paper. It held pretty sturdy by hot gluing them to the boards.

Once the cupcakes were all on, you couldn't tell it was homemade.

My girls helped me make pinwheels glued to tooth picks for the cupcakes.

We had enough craft paper to make paper garland to match the table.

These were just 12x12 sheets that we cut into strips and stapled to make links.

We also made a photo banner with pictures from throughout the year and backed them with the matching craft paper.

We kept the party very simple and it was a great time for everyone!

Alice in Wonderland Party

This is another theme that you can do so so much with!
Of course the Mad Hatter Tea party would be the center of the party...

I gathered various tea pots and colorful mismatched serving dishes.

I found paper lanterns at the dollar store and hung them with curling ribbon.

My husband drew on foam boards to make them look like playing cards. He also drew some of the characters that were around the room.

I found top hats and propellar hats from Oriental trading.

Of course we had to play croquet!



Farm Party

My son's 1st Birthday Party!

We set up our white tent out in the backyard and got some baby chicks to run around and let the kids play with.

Lesson learned, don't have baby chicks running loose while there are children running around who may not see the baby chicks. :( Oops!

Well, they were cute while they lasted.

We got large pieces of cardboard and drew animals to have standing around. There were two feeding troughs of loose hay that had bags of cookies. The kids had fun digging for them in the hay.

 This was a party for the whole family. We had pulled pork bbq sandwiches, corn on the cob, corn bread, baked beans, and home made apple pie with vanilla ice cream! I made the party favor bags out of burlap and filled them with peanuts and candy.

This theme was so easy, simple, and very inexpensive.

Spa Party

If you have girls, this is a theme you have to do at some point! The girls absolutely loved the pampering!

I wanted all the girls to have matching robes, but even the inexpensive ones ended up being pricey for so many girls. I found a large pack of white towels at Sams Club that I made robes for each of them for about a couple of bucks.

You can't go wrong with candy apple and hot pink!

My cousin did manicures for all the girls!
